Saul Good is proud to be a founding member of the Strathcona Green Zone, a project managed by the Strathcona Business Improvement Association (SBIA) helping local area businesses create value through sustainability initiatives. One of the first programs being implemented is the Strathcona Resource Exchange Network where businesses use each other's 'waste' materials, reducing costs for purchasing, expenses for disposal and associated environmental impacts. We’re very happy to get reclaimed paper shred for our gift baskets from Marine Printers, and send out flattened cardboard boxes to Mission Possible for repackaging soaps in their social enterprise. Mission Possible employs Downtown Eastside residents to pick up and deliver resource exchanges in the network using a hand push cart, a zero emissions delivery service.
