If you get the chance, take a day trip from Vancouver out to Vista D’oro Farms in South Surrey. They’ve got a beautiful property and lots to enjoy for the foodie. Their farm gate shop is filled with tasty deliciousness. They use traditional style copper pots to make seasonal fruit preserves. How’s that for eating local? Their walnut wine has become a talk of the town and is being used in cocktails in some of Vancouver’s great social establishments.
