Alex and I met Diane at Wendel’s Café and Bookstore in Fort Langley, BC. Her grandparents started the business back in the day. Across the street from the train station, her store is a bustling hub for the community. “Going out to the garden to collect beans and lettuce for salad was just how we rolled” Diane told us and these values stuck. Her mother developed gluten free cookie recipes when she learned about Celiac Disease and instantly said, “All kids deserve to eat cookies.” It’s a warm and loving family out at Wendel’s and we’re lucky to bring part of that into our gifts.
